Programs - Psychological Preparedness for Emergency Responders

Our signature program, the Psychological Third Alarm, is the New York regional area's first formal educational program to promote the emotional and psychological resiliency of those upon whom we rely in times of emergency — and the people in their circle of support. This critical incident stress awareness program proactively empowers uniformed and civilian personnel and their families to recognize signs of operational overload in themselves and in those they care about, and provides tools for getting help before problems escalate. A 30-minute multi-media presentation is the basis for facilitating supportive therapeutic discussions and sharing vital information about available self-help resources.
