Programs - Leadership Training for Youth

Our Youth Leadership Program provides stipend internships for Chinatown youth ages 14-21 while training them as Peers who help to bring medical and social service information to linguistically isolated elders, neighbors and friends. The teens are supported in group sessions where they additionally learn tools and create multi-media presentations to increase their own coping skills by learning about stress, social skills and critical incidents in their lives. These combine to help them be more effective in sharing their knowledge with others and in being successful in school and in life.
